About
I’m a technology investor and ER physician who believes in high standards, clear thinking, and not wasting motion.
I work in high-stakes clinical environments and allocate capital with the same lens: what produces the highest useful output for the effort and risk involved.
“Cowboy standards” is a set of operating principles — self-reliance, preparation, quality over flash, and the refusal to do mediocre work when better is available. I apply the same filter to investing, medicine systems, and daily decisions.
High yield is the practical expression of that ethos. It means designing for leverage instead of activity, for clarity instead of noise, and for durability instead of short-term optics.
This site exists primarily so I can think in public and keep myself honest. Most of what I write starts as notes to myself. If any of it is useful to you, that is a bonus.
If it ain’t high yield, I’m not interested.
